The Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies reports that over 17,000 homes have been weatherized so far in FY2010, which is more than double from last year.  Additionally, Illinois Community Action Agencies have hired more than 500 new Weatherization employees.  Through the Weatherization Assistance Program we are creating green jobs, improving the energy efficiency of homes and helping families reduce their energy costs.

Three press conferences in regional parts of Illinois were held on July 6, 2010 to release the report - see press release.

The report provides an Overview of the Weatherization Assistance Program including data on the number of homes weatherized, jobs created and retained, dollars spent, and return on investment.  Individual agency results are highlighted.

 A sampling of weatherization success stories are also showcased.
